Getting into the workplace can be intimidating at the best of times, especially if you’re approaching a serious job opportunity. Knowing how to craft your resume, handle an interview, and meet expectations if you get the job are things we all have to learn.
Fortunately, lots of our member organisations have people with experience in all of these things who are ready and willing to help, by acting as a mentor to job seekers like you.

Sign up for a mentor
When you sign up for our Positive Action towards Career Engagement (PACE) mentoring program, we’ll connect you with a mentor from one of our member organisations who has advice and wisdom to share.
We’ll find the right mentor for you, based on your location, the industry you’re looking to work in, your goals and other factors.
Small commitment, big result
In six-to-eight meetings over 16 weeks, your mentor will give you advice and coaching on starting your career, writing your CV, job interview techniques, understanding how a business works, discussing changes that might help you in the workplace and defining your career path.
At the end of the program you’ll attend a closing event where you can meet all the other participants in the program and share your experiences.

We’re constantly on the look out for people with disability who are seeking a mentor, so sign up today so we can get the ball rolling, contact our team at firstname.lastname@example.org, or call 03 9621 2276.
PACE Mentee FAQs
The matching process takes place in early March and early August each year. We recommended that you apply just before those months, but you can apply at any time and we’ll keep your application on file until the next available program.
