Disability Confidence training

Available as eLearning or facilitated training.

Disability Confidence applies to everyone in your organisation, be they your managers or supervisors, the recruiters you engage, HR staff and of course, your workforce. Our Disability Confidence training courses are tailored to each of these audiences.

Welcoming customers with a disability

This course will show your workforce how to interact with customers who have disability, and help you produce accessible products and services.

This course is most relevant for retail and customer service staff, but we can tailor it your specific requirements.

At the end of the course your people will:

  • Understand what is meant by ‘disability’ and how different impairments can affect a person’s communication, participation and access to services
  • Know how to use appropriate language and communication strategies to communicate with people with different types of impairment
  • Understand their obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) and recognise situations that could lead to discrimination
  • Be able to identify barriers and find ways to increase accessibility to your products and services.

Confident conversations for mental health

Sound mental health is the basis for happiness and productivity, yet many of us struggle with it. For people with a disability it can be an even greater challenge. This course helps your managers and workforce develop good mental habits.
