Content Creator / Designer

Do you love creating high quality content? Are you passionate about disability inclusion? Are you able to tell stories through different mediums including filming and editing or design and illustration?

If so, this is the role for you.  Australian Network on Disability is seeking a graphic designer / content creator to help us bring our stories to life.  The role will work within the marketing team and will be responsible for bringing our stories and information to life through engaging design. No two days are the same and you’ll have the opportunity to work across a variety of projects.

Qualifications and capabilities

  • Extensive experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Thorough knowledge of digital/animation and video design software such as Adobe Animate, AfterEffects, XD and Premier Pro.
  • Qualification in graphic design (Or 3 years’ experience).
  • Between 1 – 3 years industry experience in a similar role.
  • Deadline driven with the ability to juggle between multiple jobs.
  • Ability to build accessible communications (or willingness to learn).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Desirable

  • Photography and film skills.
  • Experience with Websites, including setting up hosting, subdomains, HTML coding.
  • WordPress experience, including using a page builder to make edits to a website, installing on servers, updating & installing themes and plugins.

Media and Public Affairs Specialist

Do you have public affairs and media relations experience? Are you passionate about disability inclusion? Can you increase stories about disability inclusion and Australian Network on Disability in earned media?

If so, this is the role for you. Australian Network on Disability is seeking a media and public affairs specialist to help us tell our story. The role will work within the marketing team and will be responsible for driving awareness of our brand and the work we do through earned media.

Qualifications and capabilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations, media, or similar field (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 5 years in a similar role with a proven track record of success and continuous improvement.
  • Understanding of the Australian media landscape and experience in engaging the media.
  • Ability to meet KPIs by developing strategy, tracking and adjusting activity and reporting on results.

Desirable

  • Strong understanding of accessible communications.
  • Experience in the not-for-profit sector (specifically disability).
